Petite Abeille

Petite Abeille is a cozy, inviting, neighborhood restaurant that serves simply delicious dishes, accompanied by over 50 types of Belgian beers. They are well recognized for their mouthwatering homemade Belgian waffles and have been celebrated as having the “Best Hot Chocolate.” The Village Voice voted them the “Best Burger” and their brunch fare is one of the “Best 50 Places to have Brunch in New York City.” One of their popular items is the Moules-Frites (mussels and fries). The Moules-Frites is a Belgian specialty and Petite Abeille serves up some of the best Moules-Frites in town, according to the New York Post.

The name Petite Abeille (pronounced {puh-teet a-bay} means, “Little Bee,” and is also the title of a children’s book, popular in the 1970’s in Belgium. This restaurant is artistically decorated with Tintin and other Belgian comic book characters to bring the culture of Belgium to life. The décor also conveys the warmth of a full-service, casual dining experience. From the murals on the walls to the savory aromas as you walk through their doors-- Petite Abeille offers an experience and menu that is truly a freshness you can see and taste. Owners of Petite Abeille say their commitment is for each guest to enjoy his or her entire experience – the atmosphere, the value and of course, the great food.

Well-prepared and well-delivered food that tastes at home like it would at the restaurant. I had the Salmon with Israeli Couscous and thought it was wonderful!
